We are Dolls

0 min read
We are given the free will to choose from the day we are born, or rather, led to believe so because our freedom is rather limited and rarely free. We do whatever we choose to do but in fact, that choice has been made after careful evaluation and scrutiny due to consequences that might come. There is an invisible hand that nudges us towards the direction of the social norm. So, our "free" choices are governed by rules and regulations, and influenced by responsibilities and obligations. We are not unlike a doll, moved and posed by the society.

My Gods

Last semester I have been painting with Sir John Singer Sargent and Sir Claude Monet in mind, overlooking my every paint strokes. They will forever be the artists that I look up to. Next semester I will be peeping into Morandi's mind. XD His use of grays are wonderful. The streak of colors that peeks out in between the grays make his paintings dance.

A birthday rhyme for you
on your special day

Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is loving and giving.
Thursday's child works hard for a living,
Friday's child fears no foe.
Saturday's child has far to go.
And the child born on Sunday
is bonny and wise in every way.
